Through the Facebook network our youth groups spread the call to protest against the desecration of the image of Prophet Muhammed, p.b.u.h., in textbooks of the Bosnian language, which were approved by the illegitimate Bosniak National Council of Esad Džudžo.
The gathering was scheduled for Sunday at Gazi Isa-beg Square. However, as pointed out by activist Ado Marovac, they obtained a guarantee that these textbooks will no longer be used and with the protest not getting political connotations, it was canceled.
He also pointed out that such offenses in the future will not be tolerated.
“Once again it is important to emphasize that the gathering had no political background, nor did its cancelation.
We just wanted to send the message that our people aren’t careless and inattentive to everything that’s going on, and that no similar offense will not be tolerated (because the reputation of the Prophet, p.b.u.h., is our priority), we believe that by pointing out mistakes, in good faith, of course, we contribute to the betterment of society and the establishment of high values and morals in our system of government.”
