Bosnia and Hercegovina – At the annual assembly of the Bosniak Academy of Science and Art (BASA), the resignation of former Academy president, academician Ferid Muhic, was unanimously adopted.
Members of the Academy have expressed gratitude to former President Muhic and understanding of his resignation.
At the same assembly members of the Academy unanimously elected Muhamed Filipovic as the new BASA President, him being the only candidate for this position in the scientific and artistic institutions.
The Assembly adopted the conclusion that the new President would, during the next two months, prepare a proposed plan of work and development of the Academy as well as a proposal marking the the fourth anniversary of the establishment of the Bosniak Academy of Science and Art.
On the proposal of the BASA President, the assembly unanimously chose academician Ejup Ganic as President of the Academy’s Senate.
