Sjenica – US Ambassador Michael Kirby stated today in Sjenici that the agricultural development of the region is limited by poor road infrastructure and that is why big investors decide not to invest in this part of Serbia.
For “Radio 100+” Kirby said that economic development can be experienced if you focus on achieving realistic plans and take advantage of the resources available.
“I’ve been informed of the economic problems of the region, and I'm glad that the local government has concrete plans to overcome the crisis. However, it is unrealistic to expect an investor in Sjenica to employ 5,000 people at once, “said Kirby.
Sjenica’s President Hazbo Mujović said that he and Kirby discussed current cooperation with US organizations and the ways that they can continue to assist the municipality.
