The International University of Novi Pazar is one of 32 universities from the Balkan region that are founders of the Balkan University Association. The formal organization meeting was held on September 11, 2014., At Thracian University in Edirne, Turkey. At this important event the International University of Novi Pazar was represented by Rector, Professor Dr. Suad Becirovic. Also, during the three-day assembly program the BUA’s previous work was presented as well as series of cultural ceremonies. In addition to IUNP among the founders are the University of Tuzla, University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, University of Zadar, University of Istanbul, St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia, the State University in Tetovo, the University of Prizren, University of Zenica, Dzemal Bjedic from Mostar and many others.
The primary objective of the Balkan University Association is to establish a leadership vision of the future through the work of universities, libraries, research centers in the Balkan region based on shared global values and consideration for the needs of our generation. In addition, the formation of scientific networks in the fields of language, culture, art, history, economics, education and sport is one of the primary goals of the Balkan University Association.
